Shared Prayer

Merciful and loving Father I praise You, Jehovah Shalom, for You are the God of peace and You delight to bring healing where trust has been strained. This is a prayer for my husband, and I bring him before You with an honest heart. Your word says in 1 Corinthians 13:4 that love is patient and kind, that it does not envy or boast, and 1 Corinthians 13:5 tells me love is not rude, does not insist on its own way, is not easily provoked, and thinks no evil. Let that love govern our home. Where words have wounded, bring forgiveness. Where quietness has grown cold between us, bring warmth again. I ask You to guard my husband in his work, his friendships, and every relationship he carries. Lord hasten your word to perform it in our marriage, and let peace rule where tension once ruled. Your word declares, lo, I am with you always, so I will not fear the distance we have felt. I choose patience toward him, and I refuse to keep count of wrongs. Thank You for restoring trust between us. Your will for our home is peace, and I walk in obedience to it. Thy will be done. Amen.
