Shared Prayer

Lord God You are my Shepherd, and I praise You because You are good and Your love for me never fails. Psalm 23:4 says that even when I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me, and Your rod and Your staff comfort me. So I stop and take that promise to heart in this hard place I am walking through. My feelings rise and fall, but You do not change. You are with me, O Lord, and that settles the fear that keeps trying to take hold of me. I am not walking alone, and I am not walking without hope, because I belong to You. Almighty God, El Shaddai, You are more than enough for everything this valley demands of me. Teach me to walk in obedience to Your will while I go through it, not just to survive it. For it is written that Your comfort is real, and I take hold of it now instead of dread. Thank You for staying close, for guarding me, and for leading me all the way through to the other side. Amen.
