Shared Prayer

O Lord God You are the God who pardons iniquity and passes by the transgression of Your heritage, and You do not retain Your anger for ever because You delight in mercy. For the believer crushed by guilt, ashamed of repeated failure, or haunted by old sins, let Your mercy speak louder than condemnation. We confess what is wrong without excuse, and we turn back to You with our whole heart. It is written, You pardon iniquity, so we come boldly for forgiveness and cleansing. According to Your Word, lift the weight of shame, break the power of hidden sin, and restore joy and a clean conscience. Teach us to walk humbly, grateful for mercy, and to show that same mercy to others. Thank You for loving us with covenant mercy and for receiving us again. With thankful hearts we pray. Amen.
