Shared Prayer

Our Father Your Word says the world passeth away, and the lust thereof, but he that doeth Your will abideth for ever. Turn our eyes from what is fading, and set our desires on what pleases You. For the believer pulled by temptation, worn down by pressure, or ashamed by recent compromise, grant repentance and clean strength to obey. You giveth power to the faint, so renew our minds and make our steps firm in simple obedience. We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us, so we choose Your will over the worlds pull. Thank You for an everlasting life that does not rest on feelings, and for holding us as we walk in Your commands. Keep our hearts fixed, and let our obedience honor Your name. In your glorious name we pray. Amen.
