Shared Prayer

All Glorious God You are holy, good, and worthy, and we thank You for the love that comes from Your own heart. By the word of the Lord, teach us to put on charity above all things, for love is the bond of perfectness. Where hurt has made us guarded, where pressure has made us sharp, and where offense has tried to divide, bring our thoughts, words, and actions under Your will. You command us to walk in love, so form that obedience in us and make us quick to forgive, patient in weakness, and true in compassion. Crown us with your lovingkindness and tender mercies, so that what we give to others comes from what we have received from You. We believe Your love can mend what sin has strained and make peace grow again. Thank You for not leaving us to our own hardness, but for working Your gracious nature in us. In your mighty and loving name, we pray. Amen.
