Shared Prayer

Divine Creator Your Word commands us to let the mind of Christ Jesus be in us. Many of Your people are worn by conflict, pride, offense, and the need to be seen. Put in us the thoughts of Jesus, lowly, obedient, and full of love. When we are provoked, teach us to answer with gentleness. When we are overlooked, keep us free from bitterness. When we are tempted to insist on our own way, turn our hearts to serve. Because the word of God is quick and powerful, let it reshape our motives and silence the voice of self. We hold to Your promise that all things are possible to them that believeth, so renew our mind and make our obedience real. Thank You for Your patience with us and for grace to walk in the steps of Christ. Amen.
