Shared Prayer

Our Father Your Word declares that You are the Lord of peace, and that You give peace to Your people by all means. Many carry fear in the night, some live near conflict, some face heavy bills, some care for a suffering family member and feel overwhelmed. Give us peace always in our bodies, minds, and conversations. Let Your peace rule our reactions and guide our steps. Because You have spoken, lo, I am with you always, we lay down anxious imagining and we receive Your presence. Cleanse us from sin and bitterness, and make our words gentle in our homes and churches. Even when our strength fails, great is thy faithfulness, and You keep us clear minded. Thank You for being with us all, and for giving peace that holds when the world shakes. Amen, and Amen.
