Shared Prayer

Father Your Word declares that You are in Your holy temple, and You call all the earth to be silent before You. When our minds race and our days are loud, draw us into reverence and stillness. Shut the door on anxious thoughts, and teach us to listen. For the believer under pressure, for the one worn down by constant demands and fear, give a heart that rests in Your rule. The Lord our God is with us, and all power belongeth unto God, so despair will not have the final word. Set our attention on You, cleanse our motives, and bring our words into submission to Your presence. Thank You for welcoming us near, for hearing us, and for meeting us with peace that holds. Grace be with you all. Amen.
