Shared Prayer

Dear Lord We praise You for the tender mercy that never fails, and we bless You for the compassion that meets us in our deepest sorrow. Your word says that though You cause grief, yet will You have compassion according to the multitude of Your mercies. We hold that promise close when tears come and understanding runs out. You have not purposed to leave Your people crushed, for Your mercy is greater than our pain and Your heart toward us is kind. So we bring our grief honestly to You, and we ask You to comfort every heart heavy with loss, every soul weary from waiting, and every spirit worn thin by pressure. By the power of the Word, let hope rise again where sorrow has settled. We believe You will show mercy, because God is faithful and does not forget His own. Thank You for loving us through what we cannot explain, and for holding us until joy returns. In Jesus' name. Amen.
