Shared Prayer

Sovereign Lord You are Jehovah Elohim, the mighty God who made heaven and earth, and I worship You as the One who never sleeps and never changes. Your word says in Psalm 91:5 that I shall not be afraid for the terror by night, nor for the arrow that flieth by day, and I stand on that promise as I lie down to rest. Every fear that rises in the dark, every worry that grows louder when the house is silent, I bring under Your covering. I rebuke the spirit of fear and every dread that tries to rob my sleep, and I ask You to intervene where I cannot help myself. Break through what has been closed to me, and let Your will be done in my life, not my anxious plans. Teach me to trust You in the darkness as much as I trust You in the light. Thank You for guarding me while I sleep and for answering before I even see the change. Thank You that Your protection is not fragile, and that with God nothing shall be impossible. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus. Amen.
