Shared Prayer

Righteous Lord Your Word says You appoint beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, and the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. For believers carrying grief, exhaustion, and quiet sorrow, replace despair with praise and lift the weight that presses on the mind. Teach us to receive what You give, and to put on praise when feelings argue back. Let the one who is caring for others with empty strength be renewed by Your joy. We confess our sin and lay down bitterness and self pity, and we ask for clean hearts that honor You. We say with confidence, great is thy faithfulness O Lord, and we rest in Your promise. Thank You that all power belongeth unto God, and that Your planting makes us righteous for Your glory. Your name be glorified O Lord. Amen.
