Shared Prayer

Our Father You have told us to set our affection on things above, not on things on the earth. Turn our hearts from the noise that feeds fear, envy, and impurity, and lift our thoughts to Your kingdom and Your righteousness. For the person pulled by temptation and the one crushed by worries about money, health, or the future, give a clean focus that refuses distraction. Establish our choices, our words, and our desires in what is eternal. By the word of the Lord, break the grip of earthly attachments and make us content in You. When we feel alone in crowded places, remind us, lo, I am with you always, and let that presence govern our minds. Thank You for a higher hope that cannot be shaken, and for peace that guards us as we look to You. Grace be with you all. Amen.
