Shared Prayer

God of my life I praise You, Almighty God, El Shaddai, the One who is more than enough for me in this weakness. You are good, and Your love for me does not rise and fall with my strength. Psalm 41 tells me that You strengthen the sick upon the bed of languishing, and that You make all their bed in sickness. So I bring my weary body and my anxious thoughts to You, and I ask You to strengthen me now. Hold me up when I cannot hold myself up. Comfort me in the long hours when pain and uncertainty press hard against my hope. For it is written that You are near to those who suffer, and I trust You to keep Your word over my life. I refuse fear, because if God be for me, who can be against me. I belong to Christ, and nothing in this sickness can separate me from Your love. Teach me to walk in Your will, resting where You have told me to rest, and trusting where I cannot see. Thank You for tending me with such kindness. Thank You for a future that is still full of hope in Your hands. Amen, and Amen.
