Shared Prayer

Gracious Father You have set a race before Your people, and You call us to lay aside every weight, and the sin that so easily besets us. For it is written, we are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses, so we will not quit. Give us grace to put down what drags us, secret sin, resentment, distraction, and fear, and to run with patience when progress feels slow. Strengthen the believer who serves others while carrying private burdens, and the one who feels tempted to give up. Your promise stands, the word of God is quick and powerful, and it searches us, corrects us, and renews our obedience. Thank You for staying true, for meeting us with mercy when we repent, and for sustaining us to finish the course You set. In Jesus' glorious name. Amen.
