Shared Prayer

O Father, Lord of heaven and earth You are God Almighty, El Shaddai, more than enough for me, and I worship You for who You are. In Matthew 6:34 Jesus taught me to take no thought for tomorrow, because tomorrow will care for itself, and today has enough trouble of its own. So I lay down the worry I keep carrying about what is ahead. I bring my mind back to this day and to Your unshakable love, which no fear about the future can cancel. Scripture assures me that lo, I am with you always, and that promise settles the questions I cannot answer. Feed me, lead me, and hold me as Your own child, for my identity is in Christ and not in what tomorrow may bring. I will not borrow trouble that has not come. By the power of the Word, I declare that my hope is alive and my future rests in Your hands. Thank You for grace that meets me today, and thank You for going before me into everything I cannot see. I choose to trust You and obey what You have already spoken. Blessed be the name of the Lord, from this time forth and forevermore. Amen.
