Shared Prayer

Dear heavenly Father We praise You, for You are good and Your mercy never fails, and in You our hearts find rest that the world cannot give. Jesus said that in Him we may have peace, that in the world we will have trouble, but we can be of good cheer because He has overcome the world. So we bring You our fear, our weariness, and the pressures that wear on us, and we receive the peace You promised in Christ. Teach us to trust Your word above what we feel, for You have purposed peace for Your people in the middle of trouble, not only after it. We decree and declare that our hearts will not be ruled by fear, because the victory of Jesus is greater than every trial we face. Strengthen us to keep our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. Thank You for peace that holds us when everything around us shakes. In your mighty and loving name, we pray. Amen.
