Shared Prayer

O righteous Father You are holy, and You are merciful, and I praise You for the righteousness that comes from You alone. I bring You this repentance prayer with nothing to hide and nothing to defend. Your word says in 2 Chronicles 7:14 that if Your people humble themselves, and pray, and seek Your face, and turn from their wicked ways, then You will hear from heaven, and You will forgive their sin, and You will heal their land. So I humble myself now. I confess my sin honestly, and I turn from every way in me that grieves You. I am not covering it or excusing it any longer. I seek Your face, and I ask You to wash me in the blood of Jesus. I receive Your forgiveness according to Your Word, and I receive the new life You give in Christ. You are my righteousness, and I stand in Him, not in myself. Teach me to walk in obedience to Your will from this moment on, in Jesus name. Thank You for hearing me. Thank You that the word of God is quick and powerful, and it has done a real work in me. My guilt is gone, and I am Yours. Thy will be done. Amen.
