Shared Prayer

O Gracious God You have spoken clearly that sin shall not have dominion over us, because we are not under the law, but under grace. Many of Your people feel trapped by temptation, weary from repeated failure, and ashamed to lift their eyes to You. We come to You for deliverance, trusting that Your grace is stronger than our weakness. Break the rule of every sinful habit, every secret compromise, and every chain of addiction. Put a holy fear in us, and a clean desire to obey You. Let the power of temptation be cut off by the power of the Word, and let our minds be renewed by the word of the Lord. Teach us to say no to sin and yes to righteousness, and to walk as those made free. Thank You for Your patience, Your mercy, and Your restoring grace that does not let us go. In your mighty and loving name, we pray. Amen.
