Shared Prayer

God of all grace Your Word declares that You have numbered even the hairs of our head, so fear is not our master, and we are precious in Your sight. For the believer who wakes under threat, the mother who trembles for her child, and the servant who feels forgotten, speak Your calm into the mind and strength into the body. Drive out tormenting thoughts, and set our attention on Your careful knowledge of us. We confess that the Lord is our shepherd, we shall not want, and You will not fail to care for what belongs to You. We submit our shaking hearts to You, and we receive courage to obey You with a clear mind. Thank You for holding us, for watching over us, and for calling us valuable, in the name of Jesus Christ.
