Shared Prayer

O my God I praise You, for You are Almighty God, and there is no place in heaven or earth where Your presence is not. Psalm 139 tells me plainly that I cannot go anywhere Your Spirit is not, and I cannot flee from Your presence. If I rise to the heights, You are there. If I lie down in the darkest place I have known, You are there also. If I travel to the farthest edge of the sea, even there Your hand will lead me, and Your right hand will hold me. So I refuse to believe the lie that I am alone or forgotten. Wherever tomorrow takes me, and whatever trial waits there, the Lord my God is with me. Lead me by Your hand into Your will, and hold me fast when my strength is small. Your word declares that all things are working together for my good, so I put my hope in You and not in what I can see. Thank You for a love I cannot outrun, outreach, or lose. Thank You that I belong to You, held by hands that never let go. Let it be to me according to Your word. Amen.
