Shared Prayer

Gracious Father You have spoken with authority and mercy, saying It is done, and You promise the fountain of the water of life freely to the one who thirsts. We come thirsty, worn by pressure, drained by disappointment, and hungry for what only You can give. For the believer who feels ashamed after failure, for the one grieving loss, for the one carrying others and feeling empty, draw us to Your fountain. Break our trust in broken cisterns, and turn our desires back to You. Let Your Spirit renew our hunger for You, and let Your life rise in us until fear and weariness lose their voice. We confess our need without excuses, and we receive what You give freely. Great is thy faithfulness O Lord, and we thank You for Your unchanging mercy. You have promised, the Lord supplies, and we rest in Your care. In Jesus' mighty name. Amen.
