Shared Prayer

Holy and awesome God You are merciful and full of grace, and You have opened the way for us to come near through Jesus Christ. Thank You that as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God. Let the word of God, which is sharper than any double-edged sword, break every lie of shame, unbelief, and rejection. Teach us to receive Your Son, believe on his name, and live as those who belong to Your household and Your will. We declare that in Christ we are not cast away, but welcomed, forgiven, and given a new name. Thank You for the power to become Your children, and for the hope, peace, and love that flow from being Yours. In Jesus' mighty name. Amen.
