Shared Prayer

Lord, whose name is holy You have spoken that chastening feels grievous, yet afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness in those who are exercised by it. Give Your people grace to submit to Your correction without bitterness or despair. When consequences feel heavy, when progress feels slow, when a believer is caring for others while carrying private pain, teach us to be exercised by Your hand and not hardened. Let pride fall, let repentance be sincere, and let obedience be real. We count it all joy, not because the trial is pleasant, but because Your purpose is pure. We believe all things are working together for our good, and we receive the peaceable fruit You promised. Thank You for loving us enough to train us, and for not letting our lives remain unchanged.
