Shared Prayer

Holy One Your Word speaks of the voice of joy and gladness, and of hearts that say, Praise the Lord of hosts, for You are good, and Your mercy endureth for ever. Teach us to bring the sacrifice of praise when feelings are heavy and strength is small. For believers who feel worn down, for the one grieving loss, for the one carrying a family in silence, lift our eyes from fear and fill our mouths with worship. You are the author and finisher of our faith, so keep us from quitting and set our hearts in agreement with Your goodness. We confess that with God nothing shall be impossible, so turn sorrow into joy, and break every captivity of discouragement and shame. Thank You for mercy that does not fail, and for praise that rises even in weakness. With thankful hearts we pray. Amen.
