Shared Prayer

Abba, Father You are holy and merciful, and Your grace does not leave us to be ruled by this world. It is written that we should deny ungodliness and worldly lusts, and live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world. Train our hearts to say no to temptation, no to compromise, and no to desires that pull us away from Your will. When pressure is strong and our minds feel pulled in many directions, make us alert, pure, and obedient. We thank You that the word of God is quick and powerful, correcting what is crooked in us and strengthening us to walk in truth. We receive grace to live with self control, reverence, and faithfulness. Thank You for not leaving us to ourselves, but for forming in us a life that honors Jesus. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
