Shared Prayer

Our Father Let Your peace rule in our hearts, because You have called us into one body, and You command us to be thankful. When fear rises from wars, hunger, and loud reports, set Your peace as the judge over our thoughts and reactions. For believers who feel overwhelmed, for parents caring for children, for those who cannot sleep, quiet the inner turmoil and guard the heart from bitterness and panic. Jesus Christ remains the same yesterday, today, and for ever, so we refuse despair and we receive Your calm courage. You are the Lord of hosts and You are with us, so we stand firm without hatred. Thank You for a peace the world cannot give, and for a grateful heart that remembers Your faithfulness. Teach us to answer pressure with thanksgiving, and to walk in unity. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
