Shared Prayer

Abba, Father You have commanded us to love our enemies, to bless those who curse us, to do good to those who hate us, and to pray for those who use us wrongfully and persecute us. Forgive us for the bitterness we have held, the words we have wanted to repay, and the coldness that has grown in our hearts. For the one who has been betrayed, mocked, or treated unfairly, pour in Your mercy and heal what is bruised. Teach us to answer evil with blessing, and to pray with sincerity for those who oppose us. You have said, not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord, so fill us with Your Spirit until love becomes our obedience. We believe Your Word that all things are possible to them that believeth, even this kind of love. Thank You for changing us, and for honoring Your Son in us. Thank you Lord for hearing our cry. Amen.
