Shared Prayer

God of peace I praise You, for You are the God who gives what no one else can give. In John 14:27 Jesus said He leaves His peace with me, and that He does not give as the world gives. The world offers calm that fades when circumstances change, but Your peace holds when everything around me shakes. Jesus also said not to let my heart be troubled or afraid, so I refuse fear and I take Him at His word. Where worry about the future has crowded my thoughts, I ask You to settle me and hold me in Your love. Teach me to walk in obedience to Your will, trusting that the God who is Almighty is more than enough for whatever comes. All things are possible to them that believeth, and I believe You now. If God be for me, who can be against me. Thank You that I belong to Christ, that Your love for me does not shift, and that hope is not lost. I offer this prayer in faith and receive Your peace, in Jesus name. My heart is quiet before You because You are faithful. Now to Him who is able to do far more than we ask or think. Amen.
