Shared Prayer

Lord of hosts We bless You for Your living word, which gives light, truth, and life. Make our hearts good ground, so we hear Your word, understand it, and bring forth fruit that pleases You. Teach us to receive what You have spoken and to walk in obedience to Your will when pressure, distraction, or temptation tries to pull us away. By the power of the Word we subdue every thought that rises against Your truth, and we choose to remain open before You. We thank You that all things work together for good to them that love God, so even hard places are not wasted in Your hands. Cause faith, love, patience, and holy fruit to grow in us in greater measure. Thank You for making Your word fruitful in our lives. Let it be to us according to Your word. Amen.
