Shared Prayer

O Gracious God We praise You for a love that is not earned and cannot be lost, a love You proved by Your own hand. Your word says that You commend Your love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. That settled truth is where we stand when guilt speaks louder than grace and shame tries to hold us at a distance. We break agreement with every lie that says we are too far gone, too stained, or too late for mercy. You did not wait for us to become worthy. You gave Your Son while we were still in our sin, and nothing can undo the price He paid. Comfort every heart that feels unwanted, and let all who carry old regret rest in the finished work of the cross. Great is thy faithfulness O Lord, and our hearts are deeply grateful. Thank You for loving us first, and for holding us still. In Jesus' mighty name. Amen.
