Shared Prayer

Holy and awesome God You have promised to put Your Spirit within us, and to cause us to walk in Your statutes and keep Your judgments. Let Your Holy Spirit rule our desires and our choices, especially for the believer battling temptation in secret, and for the one worn down by responsibility and pressure. By the word of the Lord, break the pull of sin, strengthen our wills, and make obedience our delight. We stand on this truth, if God be for us, who can be against us. Cleanse our hearts, correct our steps, and help us do what pleases You when feelings and circumstances argue. Thank You for not leaving us to strive alone, thank You for power within, thank You for grace that teaches and lifts us back to Your ways. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
